Did you catch the American Idol finals in 2015 between Taylor Hicks and Catherine What’s Her Name? Who won? The one with the very best voice? Or the one with the most character?
I’m gon na inform you a trick, something nobody ever informs entrepreneurs. It’s not about being the very best! It never was. So many business owners waste their time and money boasting about being the best. “We offer the very best doohickeys …” “We supply the best customer service …” ‘
It’s dopey to brag about being the best! Why? ‘Cause
1. Everyone states it.
2. It’s probably not true.
3. We don’t believe you anyway
However do not fret about it, ’cause
4. We’re not constantly trying to find the very best.
Look at vocalists. The most famous. The most loved. Are they the best? Rod Stewart’s what, 92? And still producing hit albums! “Do You Think I’m Sexy?” No Rod. I do not. When the song came out and certainly not now, not 30 years back. But somehow a geriatric Rod got to wiggle his properties on American Idol in addition to Taylor Hicks! On the other hand poor Catherine is doing a lame cameos on Ugly Betty.
해외스포츠중계 The “It” Factor
In showbiz, there’s an expression “You’ve got ‘it’.” What’s “it”?
The reason they call it “it” is because it’s hard to put it into words. It’s got something to do with charm, magnetism, the power to hold an audience and attract. Honestly, Rod Stewart never ever did it for me, but Elvis absolutely had “it”.
Gain Access To Your Inner Elvis
I just saw a movie about Elvis’ life. Why are people so fascinated by Elvis? Due to the fact that a personality that huge never passes away.
Why was the person such a star? Was it his look, his personality, his voice, his music? It’s probably all of those things– together with this magical thing called “it”, but even with Elvis, it took him a while to find his inner “it”.
In the film, a docu-drama (or shlock-u-drama), Elvis walks into Sun Records, a small Memphis recording studio, to sing for Sam Phillips. Elvis sings like Bill Monroe; he sings like Bing Crosby; he sings like yesterday’s news.
It wasn’t a quickie, even for Elvis, to discover his initial voice. He kept at it and Phillips kept pressing him. Ultimately he did find it. And the rest is history!
What’s this got to do with entrepreneurs? Whatever!
You got ta discover your initial voice. You got ta dig beyond the normal. You got ta discover your company’ character and then you need to reveal it. You got ta gain access to your Inner Elvis!
Do that and view your star shine.
